The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to produce telecommunications standards for today and for the future. MainNet is active in the ETSI Project PLT that standardizes Powerline Communications (PLC) systems by using existing public and private mains power wiring for the transmission of telecommunication signals.

HomePlug Powerline Alliance
HomePlug is an industrial Alliance comprising industry leaders at each level of the value chain - from Technology to Services and Content. Alliance members bring vital capabilities and a financial commitment to the successful launch of any BPL technology. MainNet is an active member in the Marketing Group as well as in the HomePlug Access BPL Technical Working Group, responsible for defining the HomePlug BPL standard, which is the Alliance's specification for to-the-home powerline communication technologies. In addition, the company is active in the following:

- HomePlug Marketing Working Group (active contribution member)

OPERA
The main objective of the current Open PLC European Research Alliance (OPERA) project is to perform the required research, as well as the demonstration and dissemination of powerline communication solutions on a European scale. Promotion of PLC technology in this way, allows European citizens to enjoy its many advantages.
